Castelli delivers again ...

I've now used these Castelli Entrata full shoe covers several times in the Cape Town winter season on quite a few rainy rides, and whilst I am aware that these shoes covers are only water/splash-resistant (versus waterproof) can attest that they are amazing quality and well made, to the usual high standards of Castelli products. They look very cool, keep my feet warm and fit well, being easy to put on. The material works well but one has to zip up carefully in order to protect the zipper from any extreme forces. The second time I used them on a very rainy gravel ride, the river on the Alphen Trail in Constantia was overflowing and I had to ride on rutted tracks that were at least 10cm deep in water. Twice I had to put my left foot down to steady myself and although it went in deep, my foot remained relatively dry. A quick shake off, and on I went. To say I was impressed is an understatement!
